There is no account required to view articles and every article has discussion questions to enhance comprehension.  To get started, visit:  http://www. studentnewsdaily.com/ The website is updated daily with new articles.  Student News Daily  has weekly features that go beyond normal current events, for example on Wednesdays, they feature an article that is an example of media bias and on Fridays, they have an article featuring an editorial cartoon. Click on any article from the homepage to expand it: At the bottom of each article, there are questions, as well as relevant background information and videos if applicable.

ACT Test Preparation Links shared by NCDPI Teachers' BiWeekly Message (2.25.16):   The March 1 ACT testing date is right around the corner for high school students. Below are links to practice questions that are interactive, two full sample tests that include all content areas, and a practice website that includes a breakdown of math topics with review videos. Feel free to use these resources in your classroom or provide to students for at-home preparation. Triventy Triventy is much like many we have featured in the past: Kahoot, Quizizz, etc, but has some unique features that make it just a little different like  adding co-teacher and other members to your PLC & adding clues for struggling students. To get started sign up for an Education account by going to Triventy.com and selecting Education at the top of the screen. Like many of the tools out there you can use your google account to sign up - this makes it easy to recall your user information. Once you have an account you will want to start your first "game" you can include multiple choice or survey style questions.  There are may public games that you can copy and customize.
