To create a Discussion Forum page on your Sharp School Teacher webpage, please follow the following instructions: 1. Login to your Sharp School teacher webpage 2. Go to "Page Properties" > "Add a New Page"> "Blog Page" 3. Create a "Title" > Click the blue arrow (this will create the name by default) 4. Click "Security" and select Permissions Granted to "Guest" > "Add Content" and "Read" > "Add"> "Apply" at the bottom. ***Under "Manage Forum", make sure it is checked "enabled".  **** Also, w hen the image is locked the page is unlocked. Create a Graph is perfect for those quick lessons with your students, but don’t have days to teach them how to use a spreadsheet and enter the data into a spreadsheet. This website takes each step and breaks it down into tabs. Work through the tabs and end up with usable graph perfect for any presentation. To get started, go to http://nces.ed.gov/nceskids/ createagraph/ Once there, click on the desired graph. Enter in the information on each of the tabs: Design, Data, Labels, Preview and Print/Save. The design your graph tab allows you to choose the style of the different aspects of the chosen graph along with color, appearance, etc. The data tab is easy to read and input the desired data for the graph. The label tab provides more customizations to the labels: color, background, text, font, etc. The preview tab allows you to see exactly what your graph looks like before you print, and will update automatically if changes are made ...

Cartoons for the Classroom is a 9-12 Newspaper in Education Programs resource that provides lesson plans for teaching different topics such as economy, politics, society, etc. through the use of cartoons. The downloadable lessons are tied to Common Core State Standards and include talking points, links, and additional resources.  There is also a Cartoon Evaluation sheet for students to use analyze the cartoons. Along with the lesson is the option for students to be creative by drawing their own conclusions and create their own captions using the current cartoon. There are currently 289 lessons available!
