Memory Issues with Laptops

Image
Please understand that each time a student logs-in to a laptop it creates a new profile on that machine. The minis do not have a large brain; therefore, PLEASE make sure students use the same laptop off of the computer cart every single time to save memory space. Please use your classroom roster to help with this check-out procedure and/or the sign-out sheet that is on top of the cart. It is much easier to use the classroom roster and make a one time copy of it to place in the folder on top of the cart.  For example, Megan Cox is student #3 on your roster, so I will use #3 device off the cart every time in your class. This also helps with accountability. Thank you!

Go to settings > mail> add account > for JCS mail choose GMAIL account and type in your full email address> server is m.google.com> username is your full email address> type in your email password> nothing for domain > name is YOUR NAME> description is JCS. To sync additional emails like a personal Gmail, just select Gmail and type in your username and password.  All your emails will appear in the Mail app on the phone.  To sync your calendars, go to  https://www.google.com/calendar/syncselect  on the specific device you want your calendars to appear on. So, go to  https://www.google.com/calendar/syncselect  on your iPhone and select the calendars you want to sync.

Network Password

Some of you are getting a popup telling you to change your password.  However, when you follow the instructions given in the popup, it doesn't work.  Ignore the popup .  When your password expires you will be prompted to (actually!) change it.  If, for some reason, you get locked out, come see me in 107. Your password must be between 8 and 20 characters and have at least one capital letter and at least one number.
